Our journey began in 1975-76, inspired by the vision of Shri Gopal Ji Bansal, fondly known as “The Legendary Chilly Man.” Growing up in the agricultural heartland of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Bansal recognized the untapped potential of the region’s famed “Jwala” red chillies. His relentless pursuit of quality and innovation transformed this humble spice into a globally recognized product.
In 1992, Shri Bansal revolutionized the industry by introducing a pioneering pesticide reduction process, ensuring safer and higher-quality chillies for both domestic and international markets. This initiative set a new benchmark in the spice industry long before pesticide concerns gained global traction. With the establishment of our first chilly processing unit in Anjad, we laid the foundation for sustainable practices and farmer welfare.
Our journey of innovation didn’t stop at spices. Shri Bansal’s visionary leadership led to the establishment of M/s Narmada Cotton Overseas Pvt. Ltd. in 1995, marking a significant milestone in the cotton industry. Our fully automated, contamination-free cotton ginning, pressing, and oil mill in Anjad brought advanced technology from Italy, Germany, and Japan to India, setting new industry standards.
